Bill P.-P. Kuo received the B.Eng. degree (with first-class honors) in electronic and communications engineering and the M. Phil degree in electronic engineering from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2006 and 2008 respectively. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California San Diego in 2011. Bill was awarded by Marcony Society in 2011 and selected as a Marconi Young Scholar because of his key work in ultra-fast signal processing based on parametric mixers. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Photonic Systems Group. His research interests include parametric processes in optical fibers and their applications in communication and sensing.
For JLT he is handling submissions on the following topics:
- Digital and optical signal processing
- Parametric processes in optical fibers
- Optical comb sources
