Alexandre Kudlinski

University of Lille, PhLAM Laboratory
France

Alexandre Kudlinski is a Professor at the Laboratory of Physics, Lasers, Atoms and Molecules at the University of Lille, France. His main research topics include the development of specialty optical fibers, photonic crystal fibers and their applications in nonlinear photonics and nonlinear micro-endoscopy. He has co-authored more than 150 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and he holds 8 patents. He served as a topical editor for JOSA B and he is a senior member of Optica. In 2018, A. Kudlinski was awarded the French Optical Society Fabry - De Gramont prize for the introduction of topographic optical fibers and their exploitation in nonlinear guided-wave optics. He co-founded Lightcore Technologies, a company that commercializes nonlinear microscopes and micro-endoscopes.

For JLT, he is handling submissions on the following topics:

  • Specialty and microstructured optical fibers
  • Hollow core fibers
  • Optical fiber fabrication
  • Nonlinear micro-endoscopes
  • Biophotonics
  • Nonlinear fiber optics
  • Soliton dynamics
  • Supercontinuum generation
  • Parametric processes in fibers
  • Poling of fibers and glasses
