Avi Zadok

Dr. Avinoam (Avi) Zadok received his Ph.D. from Tel-Aviv University in 2008. Between 2007 and 2009 he was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Caltech. Since 2009 he is with the Faculty of Engineering, Bar-Ilan University, Israel, where is Full Professor since 2017. The research interests of the Zadok group are in fiber-optic sensors, nonlinear propagation effects, integrated photonic devices in silicon and specialty glass, and interactions between guided light and sound. Dr. Zadok received the Krill Award of the Wolf Foundation (2013). He is a member of the Israel Young Academy of Science (2016-2020), and currently serves as its Chairman (2019-2020).
