Guo-En Chang received the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Applied Mechanics, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2010. In 2011, he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan, where he is currently a full Professor and the Associated Dean of the College of Engineering. His research interests include semiconductor optoelectronics, group-IV photonics, mid-infrared photonics, and optical biosensors. He has published more than 120 papers in internationally leading journals and conferences, and served as organizers and technical committee members of several international conferences. Dr. Chang received several awards from Taiwan, including the TCUS Excellent Young Innovator Award (2014 and 2015), the CSME Outstanding Mechanical Professor Award (2018), the MOST Young Research Fellowship (2019), MOST Further Tech Award (2021), and National Innovation Award (2019, 2020, 2022). He is a senior member of Optica, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a member of SPIE.
For JLT he is handling submissions on the following topics:
• Silicon (group-IV) photonics
• Semiconductor optoelectronics
• Mid-infrared photonics
• Optical biosensors
