Hussam Batshon

Hussam Batshon received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Jordan in 2005. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunications from the University of Arizona, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2007 and 2010, respectively. He is currently an Optics Researcher in the Optical Transmission Subsystems at Nokia Bell Labs.

Dr. Batshon has co-authored more than 75 peer reviewed papers in leading journals and conferences. He served as a reviewer for IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, Journal of Lightwave Technology, Photonics Journal, Communications Letters and Photonics Society. He has been serving on the TPC of IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC) since 2013, and currently he is the chair of optical communications (OC) sub-committee.
